Mechthild Esser Nemmers Prize in Medical Science is awarded to those whose body of research exhibits outstanding achievement in medical science as demonstrated by works of lasting significance.

Welch Award in Chemistry

The purpose of The Welch Award in Chemistry is to foster and encourage basic chemical research and to recognize, in a substantial manner, the value of chemical research contributions for the benefit of mankind.Any person can be considered for the award who has made important chemical research contributions which have had a significant, positive influence on mankind.  The award is intended to recognize contributions that have not previously been rewarded in a similar manner.

Ross Prize in Molecular Medicine

The annual Ross Prize in Molecular Medicine is established in conjunction with the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research and Molecular Medicine. The winner will be an active investigator having produced innovative, paradigm-shifting research that is worthy of significant and broad attention in the field of molecular medicine. We expect this individual will continue to garner recognition in future years, and that their current accomplishments reflect a rapidly rising career trajectory of discovery and invention.

Ilse L Helmut Wachter Award

For exceptional scientific acheivements in all fields of medicine and is open to scinetists of all nationalities. Self-nominations are not accepted.Nominations must be in writing and include:

Alice CC Wang Award-American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Awards

The Alice and C. C. Wang Award will recognize established investigators who are making seminal contributions to the field of molecular parasitology at the time of the award. Novel and significant discoveries on the biology of parasitic organisms are of particular emphasis. The areas of research to be awarded are limited to protozoan parasites, but otherwise broadly defined, including, but not limited to, biochemistry, molecular biology, gene regulation, metabolism, cell biology, development biology and host-pathogen interactions.

Dr. H.P. Heineken Prize for Biochemistry and Biophysics

Every other year, the Dr H.P. Heineken Foundation awards one of the most prestigious prizes conferred in the Netherlands: the Dr H.P. Heineken Prize for Biochemistry and Biophysics. In doing so, the Foundation draws attention to the importance of these two disciplines, including the biochemical and biophysical aspects of microbiology and the physiology of seed germination.
