Mechthild Esser Nemmers Prize in Medical Science is awarded to those whose body of research exhibits outstanding achievement in medical science as demonstrated by works of lasting significance.

Dr. Charles Mérieux Award for Achievement in Vaccinology and Immunology

Dr. Charles Mérieux Award for Achievement in Vaccinology and Immunology honors individuals whose loutstanding lifetime contributions whose fight against vaccine preventable diseases have led to significant improvement in public health.

The Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Humanitarian Award was established in 1997 by the NFID Board of Directors to honor those individuals whose outstanding humanitarian efforts and achievements have contributed significantly to improving the health of humankind. Albert B. Sabin Gold Medal Award

The Albert B. Sabin Gold Medal Award has been awarded annually since 1994 and is given to a distinguished member of the research community who has made extraordinary contributions in the field of vaccinology or a complementary field. Each recipient is a role model for young researchers, someone whose career has saved lives through the development and use of vaccines. The Medal is the highest scientific honor given by the Sabin Vaccine Institute and commemorates the legacy of the late Dr. Albert B. Sabin.

Inbev-Baillet Latour Health Prize

The InBev-Baillet Latour Health Prize differs from many other international science awards in that it seeks not to encourage fundamental research, but rather its most useful applications. As is the case with all prizes awarded by the Fund, its goal is to reward the scientific merits of a person - and not of an institution - and promote the continuation of his/her research. The Prize is open to Scientists from any country.
