Antonio Champalimaud Vision Award

The award is given alternately between contributions to overall vision research (even numbered years) and contributions to the alleviation of visual problems, primarily in developing countries (odd numbered years). The recipients of the award are productive laboratories/organisations or collaborative efforts and this may involve groups from more than one institution or discipline.

Nemmers Prize

Dr. Charles Mérieux Award for Achievement in Vaccinology and Immunology honors individuals whose loutstanding lifetime contributions whose fight against vaccine preventable diseases have led to significant improvement in public health.

Wiley Prize in Biomedical Sciences

The Wiley Prize recognizes a specific contribution or series of contributions that demonstrate significant leadership in the development of research concepts or their clinical application. Taubman Prize For Excellence in Translational Medical Science

This award is presented annually by the A. Alfred Taubman Medical Research Institute at the University of Michigan. It is meant to recognize work in the crucial field of translational research being conducted by the clinician-scientist who has done the most to transform laboratory discoveries into clinical applications for patients suffering from disease.

AAAS Martin and Rose Wachtel Cancer Research Award

AAAS and Science Translational Medicine invite applications for the inaugural AAAS Martin and Rose Wachtel Cancer Research Award. This annual award, funded by an endowment established through a generous bequest from Martin L. Wachtel, will honor an early-career investigator who has performed outstanding work in the field of cancer research. Entrants must have received their Ph.D. or M.D. within the last 10 years. The award winner will be invited to deliver a public lecture on his or her research and will receive a cash award of $25,000.

AAAS Philip Hauge Abelson Award

The American Association for the Advancement of Science invites nominations for the AAAS Philip Hauge Abelson Award. National Academy of Sciences
